According to the art. 15 of the Act on the transport of dangerous goods, each participant in the carriage of dangerous goods is obliged to appoint advisors. – the implementation of proper emergency procedures in the event of any accident or incident that may affect safety during the carriage, loading or unloading of dangerous goods
– investigating and, where appropriate, preparing reports on serious accidents, incidents or serious infringements recorded during the carriage, loading or unloading of dangerous goods
– the implementation of appropriate measures to avoid the recurrence of accidents, incidents or serious infringements
– taking into account the rules and special requirements relating to the carriage of dangerous goods in the choice of subcontractors and partners
– verification that employees involved in the carriage, loading or unloading of dangerous goods have detailed operational procedures and instructions
– the application of measures to increase awareness of the risks associated with the transport, loading and unloading of dangerous goods
– the implementation of verification procedures to ensure that the means of transport is equipped with the required documents and safety equipment and whether such documents and equipment with the regulations
– the implementation of verification procedures to ensure compliance with the requirements for loading and unloading
– develop a protection plan
– carrying out audits for transport companies and freight forwarding in the transport of hazardous materials and road transport
Safety adviser for the transport of dangerous goods
The main task of the adviser is to introduce procedures for supervising activities related to the preparation, dispatch and transport of hazardous materials, and track the compliance of these measures with the requirements of the ADR Agreement and the Law on road transport of dangerous goods. Adviser so may be independent of the entrepreneurs operating on the basis of the relevant agreement.
